From February 23 to 26, Humon Group organized a four-day closed training session for its middle and senior managers, dubbed the “Spring Training,” which focused on “learning, thinking, and acting” to enhance both the mindset and capabilities of the participants.
“Having problems is not something to fear; what is truly frightening is failing to recognize them and dragging our feet, or daring not to face them head-on and instead covering them up.” This incisive opening address at the commencement ceremony hit squarely on the core issues. At this critical juncture of corporate transformation and upgrading, participants were encouraged to reflect on the shortcomings in “ideological awareness and professional competence” identified in Chairman Wang Denning’s summary report at the Group’s annual conference and in the Group’s annual report, thereby fully appreciating the urgency and importance of emancipating the mind, shifting mindsets, and enhancing capabilities—thus laying a solid ideological foundation for this training program.
This training program is not only an opportunity to acquire professional knowledge but also a powerful catalyst for team building. In terms of program design, we have seamlessly integrated learning sessions, morning fitness activities to energize participants, and interactive exchanges. Team members have diligently fulfilled their respective roles with dedication and commitment, fostering a positive atmosphere characterized by “serious yet lively, united yet focused.” The curriculum blends current political theory with business logic, traditional industries with digital thinking, and management tools with humanistic literacy, aiming to create a learning experience that combines theoretical input with practical application—so that participants come with questions and leave with actionable solutions.
Empower through “learning” and drive action through “practice.” Training and learning are not the end point; they mark the beginning of practical application. The Group requires all participants to return to their posts not only with the knowledge and insights gained from the training, but also with fresh perspectives and renewed aspirations for the future. “Persist in learning for self-cultivation, persist in applying what we learn, and persist in leveraging learning to enhance performance,” turning the outcomes of training into concrete, quantifiable action metrics. Compile course notes into an “action checklist” and integrate them into daily work based on real-world needs; transform classroom case studies into “benchmarking templates” to share best practices with colleagues; and harness collective wisdom to build a robust “innovation ecosystem” that continuously addresses weak links in our work and further boosts overall efficiency.
Although spring training has come to a close, the journey is now set to begin anew. Corporate transformation calls for the courage to break through and forge a new path—“our destiny is in our own hands, not in the hands of fate”—as well as the “speed of a fire-wheel” that top and middle-level managers must bring to drive breakthroughs. Despite the many challenges ahead, everyone remains firmly committed: we will start afresh with a mindset of starting from zero, leverage the insights gained from learning to overcome obstacles, further emancipate our thinking, and transform our mindsets. We will be diligent, bold, and skilled in our work, truly becoming high-caliber professionals whom the company can rely on, who uphold rigorous standards in their conduct, and who deliver dependable results—thereby empowering and contributing to the enterprise’s high-quality development.
